Dreaming

I dreamed of you again last night
Of shifting shadows, twisted shapes in twilight

I felt once more the longing
The hunger in my soul
I could feel again the passion
Desire beyond control

I dreamed of you again last night
And woke thinking you'd be with me in the light

I could see your face so clearly
I heard each word you spoke
I touched you oh so gently
Then with a start I woke

I dreamed of you again last night
A vision, a frenzied dream, all in shadows- black & white

You walked with me again
And held me close and tight
I thought you'd never leave me
But you vanished with the light

I dreamed of you again last night
And I surrendered without a fight

You came to me again
And whispered softly in my ear
But when I opened up my eyes
I saw that you weren't there

I dreamed of you again last night
A shadowed shape in the pale moonlight

I felt your touch upon my skin
I felt you take my hand
But then you vanished without a trace
What happened I don't understand

I dreamed of you again last night
If only these dreams were real, I'd be all right

I felt your breath upon my skin
As you whispered in my ear
I felt your lips press to mine
And then you disappeared
