There are a number of clans and bloodlines to choose from in Vampire: The Masquerade. The most common ones are those of the Camarilla - Brujah, Gangrel, Malkavian, Nosferatu, Toreador, Tremere, and Ventrue. I generally play a Toreador (Morgan, for example), although I've played a Lasombra on Night Carnage MUD and played Zillah, Caine's childe and bride. Caine was the first vampire, being cursed of God for slaying his brother. He sired three childer - Enoch the Wise, Zillah the Beautiful, and Irad the Strong.
